The Georgia Constitution
The Constitution of the State of Georgia is the governing legal document in Georgia. The current version was enacted and approved by the voters in 1983. It represents the primary source of authority for all government action. Government can only take action if empowered to do so by the Georgia Constitution.

Official Code of Georgia Annotated
The Official Code of Georgia (“The Georgia Code”) represents the currently enforceable laws of the state of Georgia. The Georgia Code contains all of the controlling statutory authority governing the state, county and municipal government’s duties, immunities and liabilities. These laws must be followed by all state, county and municipal agencies.

The Georgia Municode Library
The Georgia Municode provides the public with easy access and interface to local government charters and codes of ordinances. These local laws enumerate the legal powers delegated by the Georgia General Assembly to the cities and counties. These laws must be followed by the city and county governments in Georgia and impact your rights as a citizen.
